About the Role
The Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, governance, and operational efficiency of a diversified multinational business group headquartered in Singapore. With a robust portfolio spanning property, financial services, logistics services, and manufacturing, the Group CFO will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, risk management, and long-term value creation. This role requires a highly accomplished financial leader with extensive experience in Fortune Global 500 companies. The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the Group CEO and Board of Directors, ensuring that financial strategies align with the company’s growth ambitions while maintaining fiscal discipline. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the Group’s long-term business objectives and international expansion plans.
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and Group CEO on capital allocation, investment strategies, and growth opportunities.
- Lead M&A initiatives, due diligence, and integration efforts to support business expansion.
- Identify new financial opportunities and risks in emerging markets and provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Ensure that financial strategies align with global best practices and position the Group for sustainable growth.
Financial Governance and Risk Management:
- Establish and maintain a robust financial governance framework to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to international accounting standards.
- Oversee risk management frameworks to mitigate financial, operational, and market risks.
- Strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, and corporate governance processes.
- Develop and implement financial policies that enhance operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with local and international regulations.
- Lead efforts to enhance financial transparency and improve internal audit processes.
Operational Excellence and Performance Optimization:
- Lead a global finance team of 240 professionals across multiple jurisdictions, driving a high-performance culture and capability development.
- Implement process automation, digital finance transformation, and cost optimization strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Optimize working capital, cash flow, and capital structure to support sustainable growth.
- Work closely with business unit leaders to ensure alignment between financial and operational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline finance operations and enhance the overall effectiveness of the finance function.
Stakeholder Engagement and Investor Relations:
- Act as a key liaison between the Group and external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive investor relations strategies, financial communications, and corporate reporting to enhance market confidence.
- Represent the Group in high-profile financial negotiations, capital market transactions, and global financial summits.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key banking partners, credit agencies, and industry leaders to support business objectives.
- Communicate financial performance effectively to shareholders, ensuring transparency and clarity.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record as a CFO or senior financial executive in a Fortune Global 500 company.
- Extensive experience in multinational corporations with diverse business operations across property, financial services, logistics, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), treasury management, risk management, and M&A.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing a global finance team.
- Deep understanding of international financial regulations, tax frameworks, and corporate governance.
- Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced, and dynamic business environments.
- Willingness to travel frequently for business engagements and leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred). CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certifications are a plus.
- Strong track record of leading financial transformations, driving cost efficiency programs, and optimizing global finance operations.
