SALES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (Part Time, On-Site)

Vancouver Foodie Tours is recognized as one of the world’s top food tour operators by Forbes and TripAdvisor since being established in 2010. We offer fun and delicious experiences that bring people closer together to uncover common ground and broaden perspectives.
Granville Island Delivery Co. offers a unique gift-boxing service, curating high-quality items from Granville Island’s best locally-owned businesses. We craft elegantly packaged boxes filled with artisanal treats, making them the perfect gift for any occasion. With a focus on exceptional service, we bring the flavors of Granville Island straight to your door in a convenient and thoughtful way.
Note; The office is located on Granville Island and requires in-person work. This is a part-time position with 10-25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Coordinate private tours, including team-building, and group booking requests.
- Take ownership of the entire customer experience, from initial inquiries to follow-up, handling both verbal and written communication.
- Actively engage with inbound inquiries, asking the right questions to identify needs, qualify leads, and convert inquiries into private tour bookings.
- Work closely with the management team to identify new sales opportunities and assist in driving business growth.
- Provide operational support, managing reservations, support vendor relationships, and assisting tour guides with logistical needs.
- Regularly update and maintain key internal documents, tracking sales and operational performance metrics.
- Manage office upkeep, ensuring the workspace is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary equipment for both guides and office staff.
- Contribute to operational projects and assist the Operations Manager with various administrative tasks.
- Set personal and team goals to contribute to the growth and success of the business.
- Drive in-person sales by actively engaging with guests in our retail space, providing tour information and booking tours directly.
- Proven experience in a corporate and consumer customer service environment, with a focus on sales or guest experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages with utmost accuracy.
- A sales-driven mindset, with a focus on turning leads into sales by asking insightful questions and understanding client needs.
- Technologically adept, with experience using software systems (Shopify or FareHarbor)
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate diverse customer interactions with ease.
- Strong resilience and adaptability, effectively managing change and ambiguity while maintaining progress on projects.
- A growth mindset, with the drive to contribute to the company’s success and actively seek out new opportunities for growth.
