Job Description
As the Sr. Business Operations and Strategy Manager at Alation, you will be instrumental in driving strategic initiatives that propel our growth trajectory. Working closely with our executive leadership team, you’ll focus on strategic initiatives that span GTM strategy, pricing and product partnerships. This role offers the perfect blend of strategic thinking and operational execution in a high-growth technology environment. You'll apply your analytical rigor to solve complex business challenges while directly implementing solutions that impact our bottom line and scale our operations.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Planning: Design and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives to drive business growth and operational efficiency
- Go-to-Market Optimization: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Solutions to optimize our go-to-market motions and improve customer acquisition efficiency
- Strategic Partnerships: Evaluate and recommend strategic partnership opportunities that accelerate our market penetration and product capabilities
- Business Case Development: Create data-driven business cases for new initiatives, market expansion, or operational investments
- Executive Communication: Synthesize complex analyses into clear, compelling presentations for board members, investors, and executive leadership
Your Background
- 4-6 years of experience, including prior experience at a top-tier management consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG)
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives
- Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
- Passion for technology and interest in the data intelligence/analytics space

Compensation Pay Range
$113,396.00 - $153,084.00
Salary Information
The base salary range is specific to the United States. The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, work location, specialty and training. If the final candidate has a different level of experience, the base salary target range may be lower or higher than what is published.
