Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. The CFO will lead the finance and accounting teams, shape the company’s financial strategy, oversee financial planning and analysis, and ensure the organization’s financial health. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and hands-on execution to drive growth, profitability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and long-term planning.
- Identify growth opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and operational improvements.
Financial Management
- Direct all aspects of financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Develop and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to track performance.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards (GAAP, IFRS, tax laws, etc.).
- Oversee risk management strategies including insurance, audits, and internal controls.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
Capital Strategy & Fundraising
- Lead capital planning and financing strategies.
- Evaluate funding needs and manage investor relations, fundraising, and debt/equity structuring as required.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably with at least 3 years as a CFO or senior financial executive.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, financial modeling, capital raising, and risk management.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, tax planning, and financial systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
