MacDougall Steel Erectors Inc. (MSE) located in Borden PE, with sites across Canada, is an industry leader in the fabrication and installation of both structural steel and miscellaneous metals. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented, experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. The CFO reports directly to the CEO and will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and capital assets.
- Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, consolidations, budgets, and forecasts
- Identify, develop, and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Participate in business growth and strategic planning.
- Managing relationships with financial partners and ensuring financial compliance
- Manage cash flow and capital planning to support ongoing operations
- Implement financial controls, policies and procedures to safeguard company assets
- Reviewing and improving the ERP processes
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audits, and reporting standards
- Preparing for year-end audit
- Recruit, train, hire and mentor new staff members, as necessary
Qualifications
- CPA designation with minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Proficient with Microsoft SharePoint would be an asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
