Chem-Pak, Inc. is hiring a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team during a pivotal moment of growth and transformation. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in hands-on environments, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and wants to help shape the next generation of a modern, family-owned manufacturing company.
We specialize in aerosol and liquid contract filling, serving national brands across automotive, industrial, and sporting goods sectors. Now, we’re in the midst of a multi-dimensional transformation, implementing a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics F&O), expanding our facilities, and preparing to launch new branded products alongside our thriving contract packaging operations. We need a CFO who brings strategic insight, operational discipline, and a collaborative leadership style to help lead this next chapter.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute corporate financial strategies to support growth, capital investment, and profitability goals
- Provide financial guidance on long-term planning, investment decisions, and capital structure optimization (lease vs. buy, financing strategies, ROI)
- Interpret, synthesize and communicate financial statements, KPIs, and performance metrics across the company
- Design and maintain dynamic forecasting models and multi-scenario financial projections to support strategic planning, cash flow management, and resource allocation
- Participate in senior leadership team meetings and provide financial consultation on the strategic direction of the organization, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and enterprise priorities
Financial Management & Compliance
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting
- Lead financial statement preparation in compliance with GAAP
- Manage banking relationships, tax advisors, and auditors
- Operational Finance & Cost Accounting
- Partner with operations to monitor cost structure and improve profitability
- Guide cost accounting and inventory valuation practices
- Use ERP data to support real-time decision making (Microsoft Dynamics F&O experience strongly preferred)
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor a team of 4
- Build a high-performance culture grounded in integrity, teamwork, and accountability
- Champion leadership development within the team
- Collaborate with leaders and staff across the departments
- Risk Management & Insurance
- Ensure appropriate insurance coverage across all areas of the business
- Oversee corporate risk mitigation strategies and compliance efforts
- Entity Structure & Financial Oversight
- Manage finances across multiple corporate entities
- Advise on corporate structure and governance in coordination with legal and tax advisors
Human Resources (Preferred)
- Contribute to benefits and compensation strategy (401(k), health plans, etc.)
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- CPA required (or actively licensed equivalent)
- Strong background in cost accounting, cash flow forecasting, and operational finance
- Experience with benefits, 401(k) plans, and healthcare administration
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage external partners, and build strong cross-functional relationships
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics F&O or similar Tier 1 ERP strongly preferred)
- Experience managing capital investments, evaluating financing options, and presenting ROI analyses
- Deep understanding of risk management, insurance coverage, and corporate financial compliance
- High level of communication, leadership, and integrity
