KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a local organization in their search for a CFO in the Portland, Maine area.
The ideal candidate will bring significant senior finance leadership experience within a complex operating environment, along with a strong mix of strategic, operational, and hands-on financial expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all areas of finance, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, controls, and compliance
- Provide financial insights, reporting, and recommendations to support executive decision-making
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals
- Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and operational metrics
- Oversee planning processes including capital allocation and resource management
- Identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement
- Support acquisition activity, due diligence, and post-close integration efforts
- Manage financial operations across multiple entities and regions
- Maintain relationships with lenders, banking partners, and outside advisors
Qualifications
- Senior finance leadership experience within a mid-sized to large organization
- Background in operationally focused industries such as manufacturing or related industries
- Experience supporting acquisitions and business integrations
- Strong ERP and financial systems experience
- Experience managing multi-site or international finance operations
- Broad knowledge of accounting, finance, controls, and compliance
