As we grow and scale, we’re seeking a finance leader to help steer the ship with sound financial strategy and operational discipline.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Controller or CFO who can take full ownership of financial strategy, accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. You will work closely with the owner to drive financial performance, manage risk, and support long-term business growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions
- Develop and manage annual budgets, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts
- Analyze financial results and provide insights to inform business decisions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, insurance providers, and external accountants
- Lead cost accounting and inventory tracking for farming operations
- Assist with business expansion, financing, and capital investment planning
- Ensure tax compliance, grant reporting, and internal controls
- Implement and improve financial systems and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel models, farm management software)
- Lead or oversee payroll, vendor management, and other key financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred)
- 5–10+ years of relevant financial leadership experience (Controller or CFO level)
- Prior experience in agriculture, farming, food production, or a similar industry highly preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and cost accounting
- Strong Excel and accounting software proficiency (e.g., QuickBooks, Ag-specific software)
- High integrity, strong communication skills, and business acumen
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team environment with hands-on responsibilities

Pay: $80,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
