We are seeking a Deal Desk Specialist to play a critical role in structuring deals, managing contracts, and ensuring our sales process runs smoothly from quote to close. This position is ideal for someone who excels at balancing business needs with policy compliance, all while providing exceptional support to sales teams.
Deal Desk Specialist
Reporting to the Manager, Deal Desk, as the Deal Desk Specialist you will support a high-paced, high-performing sales. You will manage the quote-to-order cycle, with a focus on customer and business outcomes, while applying strong business and commercial acumen, problem-solving skills and creativity in driving deal structures that maximize revenue KPIs and adherence with established policies.
Establishing strong cross-functional relationships and collaboration with the Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, Legal and Order Management teams is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Serves as trusted advisor to the Sales team on quoting, contracting options and approval processes
- Subject matter expert on sales approval policies
- Partners with Sales to accelerate quote cycle through operational efficiencies and education
- Consistently maintains departmental SLAs
- Ensure accuracy of all quote fields in CPQ to minimize downstream discrepancies and re-work
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams who support the commercial sales cycle (Legal, Credit Control, Revenue Recognition, Order Operations) to drive deals to closure
- Knowledgeable on internal bookings policy, sales compensation plans and order documentation requirements
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Enterprise Software/SaaS B2B Industry – Order Management, Finance Operations, Deal Desk or Sales Operations experience preferred
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ or other CPQ tool highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to partner with GTM teams and other cross-functional departments
- Highly organized, customer-focused and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize at times of high volume, schedule flexibility during End of Month and End of Quarter
- Excellent communication skills and open to feedback
- Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules, sales contracts, SOX; ability to recognize risk in deal terms and/or structure
- Basic understanding of software licensing and SaaS provisioning process
Compensation
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
The base salary range for this role in California, Colorado, Washington, Texas, and Rhode Island is $57,725 to $65,200.
In addition, you may be eligible for other compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
