Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Consumer Goods

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and oversee all aspects of financial management for our apparel company. The CFO will play a critical role in driving sustainable growth, ensuring financial health, and aligning financial strategy with the company’s long-term vision. This individual will provide strategic insight, lead the finance team, and serve as a trusted advisor to the President and executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the President and executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan.
- Provide forward-looking financial insight to guide decision-making on expansion, investments, product lines, and operational initiatives.
- Serve as a key liaison with investors, lenders, and external stakeholders.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.
- Implement financial controls, processes, and policies to protect company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess profitability by product category, sales channel, and region.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and inventory financing to support apparel production cycles.
- Optimize pricing strategies, margin analysis, and cost controls across the supply chain.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations.
- Manage relationships with auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s financial position.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within the apparel, retail, or consumer goods industry.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, product costing, and seasonal business cycles.
- Proven track record in raising capital, managing banking relationships, and supporting business growth.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
