Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The Business Operations Manager will oversee matters relating to patient billing and medical insurance claims. Additionally, the Business Operations Manager will supervise, train and mentor a team of Patient Registration Clerks. The Business Operations Manager must have excellent communication skills both orally and written to be able to communicate with patients, insurance representatives, billing and collections team, attorneys and other external customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the patient registration process to ensure accuracy of records, efficient workflow and compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures. Ensure that record keeping practices comply with industry regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinates with the billing and collection agency/team to resolve complex payment issues, coverage questions and patient inquiries.
- Maintains and updates physician credentialing file in a timely manner. Notifies the CEO of any expired credentialing documents.
- Assist the Controller to oversee the employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and leave policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective communication to employees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records ensuring all documentation is current and compliant with legal requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Prepare reports for senior management on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in business operations management or a similar role.
- Knowledge of payer requirements and computerized medical records system is a must.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in operations management is a plus.
