Fiscal Officer – Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiscal Officer to oversee accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. This role ensures compliance with organizational, auditing, and funding requirements, while providing financial insight to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise fiscal staff, providing guidance and technical support.
- Oversee accounting, auditing, and financial control systems to safeguard assets.
- Ensure accurate and consistent financial data recording and reporting.
- Prepare monthly expenditure reports, comparing performance to budgets.
- Assist in preparing annual operating budgets, contract modifications, and closeouts.
- Produce fiscal and statistical reports for leadership, auditors, and funding agencies.
- Continuously improve accounting, budgeting, and reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Required minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal auditing, and budget/grant preparation.
- Proficiency with financial software and strong computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with non-financial staff and maintain confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
