Leaders of Revenue Cycle, Admitting, Business Office, Health Information Management/Medical Records, and Utilization Review report to the Assistant Chief Financial Officer, who also collaborates with Supply Chain, Case Management, IT, Compliance, and Physician Leadership to get the job done. The Assistant Chief Financial Officer typically brings a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, five or more years of healthcare finance experience, two or more years in revenue cycle departments, and oral and written fluency in English.
The Assistant CFO oversees a multifaceted finance and revenue cycle portfolio that includes charge master governance, reimbursement integrity, admitting/registration operations, utilization review alignment, and business office performance. The Assistant Chief Financial Officer analyzes market trends and financial performance to reduce operating costs, enhance reimbursement, develop and implement revenue enhancement programs, prepare weekly projections, and manage financial systems and processes, all while collaborating effectively across organizational boundaries and upholding core values. The Assistant Chief Financial Officer mentors leaders and teams, advances education and competencies, and drives continuous quality, compliance, and process optimization—performing other duties as assigned to meet evolving needs.
