The Sales Operations Associate plays a critical role in enabling sales teams to function at peak performance by streamlining sales processes, managing data, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This position is focused on facilitating clear, reliable sales information flow both within and outside the organization, with the ultimate goal of increasing sales activity and accountability.
This role requires a highly organized, analytical, and communicative individual who can work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and executive leadership teams. You will be instrumental in ensuring sales transparency, providing insights through reporting, and supporting sales initiatives with relevant, data-driven input.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales Data Management & Reporting
- Collect, clean, and manage sales data from multiple sources (CRM, spreadsheets, internal tools, etc.).
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into sales activity, pipeline, performance metrics, and KPIs.
- Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly sales reports and performance summaries to internal stakeholders.
Sales Process Optimization
- Identify and help remove bottlenecks in sales processes by recommending and implementing operational improvements.
- Support the rollout and adoption of sales tools, including CRM platforms, forecasting systems, and sales enablement tools.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sales processes and tools.
Communication & Cross-Functional Support
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments (e.g., marketing, finance, customer success) to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
- Help coordinate sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews by providing key metrics and supporting materials.
- Ensure external sales partners and stakeholders have access to up-to-date and relevant sales data as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, data analysis, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Odoo), Excel/Google Sheets, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience working in a company with outside and inside sales representatives
- Familiarity with SQL or basic scripting for data manipulation.
- Knowledge of sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, BANT, or SPIN Selling.
