Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. The CFO will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of the organisation, ensuring financial stability and growth. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of financial management, external auditing, accounting principles, and the ability to drive organisational success through effective financial planning and analysis.
Duties
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and stakeholders to secure funding and optimise financial resources.
- Coordinate and manage external audit process.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting.
- Lead the finance team by providing direction, mentorship, and support to enhance their professional development.
- Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide insights on financial performance and drive informed decision-making across the organisation.
- Prepare detailed reports for the board of directors, presenting key financial metrics and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial management role within a similar industry (minimum of 14 years within financial services industry and external audit practice)
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA are highly desirable (minimum of 7 years PQE).
