Chief Financial Officer for a Non-Profit Corporation
The North Ward Center Inc., A Large Non-Profit Corporation in an urban community that is seeking a Chief Financial Officer, who provides strategic financial leadership, ensuring fiscal integrity, transparency, and sustainability in support of the organization’s social mission.
Oversees all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audit, investments, and compliance.
Directs the financial strategy for a diverse portfolio of leased properties, facilities, and community assets valued in the multi-million-dollar range.
Leads the development of long-term financial models to support expansion, capital improvements, and mission-driven initiatives.
Partners closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive team to guide organizational priorities, analyze risk, and maintain healthy liquidity.
Manages relationships with lenders, auditors, funders, and government partners to ensure adherence to federal, state, and nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP, OMB Uniform Guidance).
Builds and mentors a high-performing finance team responsible for grant management, lease administration, procurement, and reporting. Implements systems and controls to enhance operational efficiency and accountability across multiple program sites.
Oversees the preparation of annual budgets exceeding $X million and ensures timely submission of financial statements, audits, and compliance filings.
Champions financial innovation and social responsibility, aligning fiscal decisions with the organization’s mission to deliver affordable, inclusive, and sustainable community spaces.
Works collaboratively across departments to evaluate the financial viability of programs, leasing structures, and new initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance preferably Accounting
- MBA/CPA or Masters degree in Finance
- 10+ years in management expertise and experience
- Prior work in non-profit industry preferred
Salary:
Negotiable depends of experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
