Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Placers Professional is partnering with a 100-year-strong, industry-leading company in search of a visionary and collaborative Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is the perfect opportunity for a strategic, hands-on financial leader ready to drive growth, innovation, and long-term success within a respected, people-centered organization.
The CFOwill oversee the financial health of the organization during a period of significant growth and will report directly to the CEO. This key leadership position is ideal for a people-focused financial executive who can guide a small, dedicated finance and accounting team while serving as a strategic partner to the executive leadership and ownership group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements and operating reports
- Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and variance/trend analyses
- Maintain internal controls and ensure full compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
- Oversee debt compliance, covenant monitoring, and lender relationships
- Manage cash flow, capital distributions, and liquidity planning
- Direct annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
- Present quarterly financial and performance reports to the Board
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Provide financial oversight for affiliated entities and partnerships
- Evaluate acquisitions and support post-merger financial integration
- Establish financial strategies, policies, and performance metrics aligned with company goals
- Ensure compliance with DOL, IRS, ESOP, and 401(k) regulations
- Partner with CPA firm on audit, financial reporting, and tax matters
- Prepare monthly financial packages and key operational metrics
- Lead cash flow and working capital optimization initiatives
- Analyze and communicate organizational performance versus budget with leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
- Proven experience as Controller or equivalent senior leadership role
- Strong construction industry accounting experience required
- Steady and strong work history
- Advanced skills in financial forecasting, data analysis, and strategic planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
- Experience with Vista Viewpoint or similar ERP systems preferred
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
