Job Summary
The Sales Operations Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's sales infrastructure. They manage and develop a team of Sales Operations Specialists, ensuring processes run efficiently and data is used to drive strategic decisions. This manager will support execution and be responsible for tracking sales initiatives, including ad hoc and routine analysis, and acting as the primary subject matter expert on the ERP system. This role requires a data-driven mindset and strong leadership skills to support the sales team in achieving their targets.
Essential Job Functions *
- Team leadership and development Manage, mentor, and coach a team of Sales Operations Specialists, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Strategic initiative management Lead the team in the execution and tracking of complex sales initiatives and strategic projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet business objectives.
- Data analysis and insights Guide the team in conducting deep-dive analysis of sales and ERP data to identify trends, forecast performance, and provide data-driven insights to sales leadership.
- ERP system expertise Act as the highest point of contact for the ERP system regarding sales, inventory, and order processing, and ensure the team has a deep understanding of its functionality.
- Process optimization Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in sales processes, leading the development of scalable solutions.
- Performance reporting and dashboards Oversee the creation and maintenance of sophisticated reports and dashboards that track key sales performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales organization.
- Cross-functional collaboration Partner closely with sales, marketing, operations and finance to ensure alignment on goals, operational processes, and reporting standards.
- Operational oversight Oversee the team's day-to-day responsibilities, including data management, initiative tracking, and sales enablement materials.
- Recruitment and training Participate in the recruitment and training of new team members, ensuring they are properly onboarded and have the necessary skills to succeed.

Education & Experience
- Education Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience 5+ years of progressive experience in sales operations or related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role with direct reports.

- Technical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and visualization. Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is required.

- Analytical skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of translating complex data into actionable insights.
