The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting a Business Operations Co-ordinator on behalf of Educational Competencies Consortium (ECC).
At ECC, we support higher and further education institutions with expert advice and services – and your role will be pivotal in sharing that story. We are seeking a Business Operations Co-ordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our internal operations and business systems.
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Business Services and Finance, the Business Operations Co-ordinator will provide comprehensive administrative and systems support to keep ECC’s internal processes efficient, accurate, and compliant.
This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving systems, maintaining data integrity, and contributing to a collaborative, professional environment.
You will:

Maintain and enhance ECC’s business systems and processes, including CRM workbooks and SharePoint environments.

Support accurate data management, reporting, and system integration across teams.

Oversee document control and ensure operational materials are current and compliant.

Assist with compliance processes, including data protection, cyber security, and health and safety documentation.

Act as a first point of contact for members, clients, and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
About You:
You’ll bring a strong background in administration and systems management, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to improving processes.
Essential criteria:

Proven experience supporting business systems, CRM tools, and databases.

Strong administrative, organisational, and time management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

Confident using Microsoft 365 tools, particularly Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

A collaborative and adaptable team player who takes initiative.
Desirable criteria:

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (3+ years in a similar role).

Qualification in business administration, IT, or related discipline.

Experience within a membership, not-for-profit, or consultancy environment.

Familiarity with GDPR, data protection, or health and safety standards.

Experience developing reporting tools or dashboards.

Understanding of information governance and cyber security principles.
