We are seeking a highly qualified accounting and finance leader for a Chief Financial Officer role based in Bergen County, New Jersey. This position, reporting directly to the President and CEO, is a replacement for the retiring CFO. Prior CFO experience is preferred but not required for candidates who meet the leadership and technical qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small, capable finance team
- Prepare and report financial results to multinational parent company
- Oversee multiple P&Ls, working capital, tax planning, and benefits oversight in partnership with HR.
- Lead all accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance across reporting, payroll, payables, and receivables.
- Manage cash flow, financing, and banking relationships; evaluate funding and risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee federal, state, property, and payroll tax compliance, and managing outsourced relationships with third-party tax firms
- Manage comprehensive financial reporting and controls, including coordination with external audit teams and preparation of financial reviews
- Maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and financial integrity.
- Partner with HR on payroll, employee benefits and insurance programs.
- Maintain multi-state operations and regulatory compliance across all 50 states, particularly complex markets
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience in the equipment finance, leasing, or asset-backed lending industry
- Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central
- Proficiency with lease accounting systems
- Experience working within a multinational organization, with the ability to navigate cross-cultural communication and global reporting structures
