The portfolio is managed through Further Holdings, the family office entity, with operations spanning hospitality, art, real estate, and philanthropic ventures.
Role OverviewThe Family Office CFO serves as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on financial operator across multiple businesses and entities.
This person brings structure, clarity, and accountability to a dynamic entrepreneurial environment — ensuring the financial health of each venture while freeing the principal to focus on strategy and growth.
You’ll partner closely with the owner, collaborate with an internal bookkeeper and external professionals, and have significant autonomy to design and implement systems that work.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy & Oversight· Partner with management teams to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
· Review and analyze monthly P&Ls, providing concise, actionable insight
· Build and oversee a right-sized accounting structure (bookkeeper, A/P, entity flow)
· Manage treasury, inter-company transfers, and consolidated cash forecasting
· Maintain banking relationships and oversee borrowing strategy
· Liaise with external tax advisors and legal counsel
· Implement a consistent monthly financial reporting cadence
Investment & Portfolio Management· Monitor and evaluate active investments (e.g., Restaurants and Real Estate)
· Support due diligence and financial modeling for new opportunities
· Maintain a quarterly Personal Financial Statement and entity-level dashboards
· Advise on portfolio allocation, liquidity, and capital deployment priorities
Risk & Compliance· Oversee property, casualty, and health insurance renewals and claims
· Coordinate with legal counsel on contracts, leases, and compliance matters
· Maintain entity documentation and annual filings
· Manage outsourced HR/benefits provider
Operational & Administrative Support· Partner with the future Operations Manager to align finance and operations
· Oversee contract execution and approvals across entities
· Administer investment and banking platforms
· Support modernization of digital recordkeeping and shared-drive systems
Ideal Background· 15+ years in senior finance roles (CFO, VP Finance, Controller, or Family Office lead)
· Experience across real estate, private investment, or entrepreneurial environments
· Strong command of GAAP, cash-flow forecasting, and investment analysis
· Comfortable operating independently in a high-trust, fast-moving setting
· Ability to manage multiple entities with complex interrelationships
· CPA or MBA preferred
