Corroboree Talent is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Finance Officer (CFO) for a high-profile major government client. This is a unique opportunity to shape financial governance and performance across complex and high-impact projects.
About the Role
As CFO, you will lead a high-performing finance team and provide strategic financial stewardship to senior executives. You will oversee budgeting, reporting, analysis, compliance, and planning, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.
This role requires a strong collaborator who can engage across government and with external stakeholders, delivering evidence-based financial advice to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-level strategic financial leadership and advice
• Oversee budgeting, internal reporting, cashflow management, and transactional services
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and governance
• Support senior leaders in understanding and managing their financial responsibilities
• Represent the organisation at government forums and with external stakeholders
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability
