Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

Summery:
We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Chief Financial Officer to join our executive leadership team. This individual will oversee all financial and administrative functions, providing vision, direction, and leadership to ensure the financial health and operational effectiveness of the organization.
Ideal candidates will bring a deep understanding of financial strategy and operational leadership, with demonstrated success in guiding teams and supporting mission-driven, member-focused operations—preferably within the agriculture, food processing, or cooperative sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance and administration departments, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, risk management, and compliance.
- Direct the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, forecasts, and board-level reporting.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors on financial, HR, and technology matters.
- Support business planning, capital investment, and long-range strategy development.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and inventory.
- Manage capital planning, cash flow, financing relationships, and cooperative patronage systems.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive strategic planning and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, controls, and reporting systems.
- Supervise and mentor department leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide executive oversight of the HR department, focusing on the development and mentorship of the HR Manager.
- Support the creation of HR policies and programs that foster employee engagement, retention, and a strong workplace culture.
- Provide executive oversight of the information technology department, including supervision and development of the IT staff.
- Guide the selection and implementation of business systems.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- CPA, MBA, or other advanced financial certifications strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Background in agriculture, food processing, cooperatives, or public accounting is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of executive-level leadership, including responsibility for multi-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing managers or department heads.
- Familiarity with cooperative business models and member-centered operations is preferred.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
