Role description
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Business Operations Manager to join our growing AI & ML consulting practice. This role will serve as a critical bridge between leadership, delivery teams, and clients, driving operational excellence and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Reporting
- Partner with CPG Vertical Delivery Heads (VDH) and PMO teams to develop and maintain comprehensive business metrics including revenue, margin, utilization, pipeline, and delivery performance
- Design, build, and manage executive dashboards using Power BI to provide real-time visibility into key business metrics
- Generate regular reports and insights to support strategic decision-making and operational planning
Resource & Demand Management
- Collaborate closely with the resource management team to optimize resource allocation and utilization across projects
- Support the end-to-end demand lifecycle management process, from pipeline tracking to project delivery
- Analyze capacity and demand trends to identify gaps and opportunities for improved resource planning
Business Development Support
- Work with sales, delivery, and technical teams to respond to RFPs and develop compelling client proposals
- Contribute to the creation of Statements of Work (SOWs) that align client expectations with delivery capabilities
- Support pricing strategies and commercial negotiations as needed
Learning & Development
- Drive learning and development initiatives to upskill team members in emerging technologies and methodologies
- Identify training needs and coordinate with internal and external partners to deliver relevant programs
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the organization
Strategic Initiatives
- Support ad hoc organizational initiatives focused on operational efficiency, process improvement, and value creation
- Contribute to special projects and cross-functional programs that drive business impact
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization
Quality & Process Management
- Ensure adherence to business operations and quality management frameworks
- Support the implementation and maintenance of best practices across project delivery
- Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Required Qualifications
Education
- MBA from a recognized institution (preferred)
Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel: Proficiency with complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, macros, and advanced analytics
- Power BI: Strong experience in creating interactive dashboards, data visualization, DAX queries, and report development
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and applications (desirable)
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in business operations, consulting, or related roles
- Experience working in a consulting environment or professional services firm
- Proven track record of managing business metrics and driving operational improvements
- Exposure to RFP/proposal development and SOW creation
