Based in Shalimar, FL, the coalition strives to provide quality early childhood education and promote collaborative school readiness systems. Our initiatives focus on increasing childcare capacity, improving subsidized school readiness services, and expanding community outreach. Role Description
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a full-time, on-site role at our Shalimar, FL location. The CFO will oversee financial strategy, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal requirements for a non-profit organization. Responsibilities include financial reporting, directing audits, managing fiscal planning, and advising on financial decisions. Additionally, the CFO will work closely with the leadership team to support operational goals and contribute to the organization's mission of fostering school readiness and early childhood support systems.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, auditing requirements, and non-profit financial operations
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills
- Experience with data analysis, creating financial projections, and implementing fiscal controls
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork
- Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to non-profit management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- CFA, CPA, or other relevant financial certifications are a plus
