Warren Averett Executive Search is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the leadership team at a well-established, closely-held commercial construction client. This position would be an onsite leader in Alabama and play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the company, overseeing all financial operations, and work closely with the CEO. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Project Coordination teams.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of Work-in-Process (WIP) schedules and Percent-of-Completion (POC) accounting.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate job costing and financial tracking of construction projects.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Experience in commercial construction or general contracting required
