Position summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for developing the organization’s financial policies and providing overall direction of Palmer Holland’s financial operations in support of the overall business strategy.
The CFO is responsible for creating and maintaining the strategic direction for all financial and business control functions, including Accounting, Tax and Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Analytics, Compliance and Regulatory Management, and Supply Chain/Purchasing.
Essential tasks of the position

Drives financial strategy and reports on progress towards business objectives to executive leadership, CEO, and Board of Directors.

Direct and coordinate Palmer Holland’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.

Contribute to improvement of departmental policies and procedures while ensuring efficiency and productivity.

Foster a positive work environment, contribute to employee growth and development.

Responsible for daily cash management, overall cash flow, inventory, and general ledger activities.

Responsible for management and oversight of Palmer Holland’s Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) and 401K and profit-sharing plans, in partnership with the Board of Directors and the ESOP committee.

Responsible for direction of all month-end, year-end, and all budget-related activities

Lead, guide, direct, manage and develop the Asset Management division’s management team to accomplish organizational goals.
- Support and communicate corporate goals and core values to Asset Management staff.

Prepare reports on activities for the management team on a periodic basis.
Requirements:
Education:
- 4-year degree, business management or equivalent required
Experience:
- Minimum 10-15 years related work experience
Knowledge/Skills:

Intermediate level of expertise in MS Office and Contact Management Software

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to maintain professional conduct that exemplifies the corporate policies at all times, particularly when interacting directly with internal and external customers.
