About Us
Patry Group of Companies is one of Ontario’s leading real estate developers, known for tackling complex development challenges with creativity, speed, and precision. We value people who thrive on solving hard problems, uncovering insights others miss, and pushing ambitious projects across the finish line.
If you are energized by intellectually demanding work and the opportunity to meaningfully influence the direction of a growing organization, you’ll feel right at home here.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-initiative business professional who enjoys stepping into ambiguity, figuring things out quickly, and driving solutions that move the company forward. This role works directly with senior leadership, cuts across departments, and is ideal for someone who likes big challenges, analytical thinking, and building structure where none exists.
Your work will directly shape strategic decisions, improve operational systems, and help solve the organization’s most pressing problems.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Problem Solving & High-Impact Projects
- Lead deep research and analysis to inform investment, operational, and strategic decisions.
- Break down complex problems into actionable recommendations supported by strong financial and operational logic.
- Build business cases, feasibility studies, and financial models for new ventures and major initiatives.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies, process gaps, and bottlenecks—and design scalable solutions.
- Partner directly with the COO and executive team to evaluate priorities, run experiments, and advance critical strategic initiatives.
Operations & Program Execution
- Coordinate cross-functional work across property management, HR, construction, and finance to align teams around clear goals and timelines.
- Build and maintain structured project plans to bring clarity to ambiguous initiatives.
- Anticipate obstacles and eliminate blockers before they slow progress.
- Produce concise, data-driven materials—dashboards, memos, and executive-ready presentations—that turn complexity into clarity.
- Maintain strong documentation and reporting that helps the organization learn and improve continuously.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Facilitate productive discussions across levels and functions, ensuring alignment, accountability, and informed decisions.
- Lead workshops and problem-solving sessions that surface insights and drive action.
- Establish communication rhythms that keep high-stakes projects on track.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years in business operations, consulting, finance, analytics, or similar problem-solving roles.
- Strong analytical skills with an instinct for breaking down complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models and evaluate ROI or feasibility.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with project management or workflow tools.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in simplifying complex topics and making recommendations.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, often ambiguous environment.
- Experience in real estate development or property management is an asset but not required.
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
- Deliver a crisp diagnostic of processes, KPIs, and bottlenecks within one core function.
- Launch at least one high-impact initiative—ideally one that solves a meaningful operational or strategic challenge.
- Establish a simple, repeatable reporting cadence that improves visibility for leadership.
Why This Role Appeals to Problem Solvers
- You’ll own challenging, intellectually stimulating work from day one.
- You’ll have significant autonomy to diagnose problems, design solutions, and implement change.
- You’ll work directly with senior leaders who value critical thinking and rigorous analysis.
- You’ll shape systems, processes, and decisions at the organizational level—not just within one team.
Benefits
- Direct exposure to senior management and key strategic decisions.
- Opportunity to work on complex, multi-disciplinary projects that push your skillset.
- Competitive compensation and room for career growth.
