Position Summary
- Reporting to the Director of Human Experience & Development, the Business Applications Trainer plays a critical role in improving employee technology proficiency and driving system adoption through hands-on training, coaching, and support. This role is responsible for delivering role-based education on a variety of software platforms used across the healthcare system—including, but not limited to, Workday, EMRs, scheduling tools, and business operations systems. The Trainer partners with IT, Health Informatics, Business Intelligence, HR, Learning & Development, and departmental leaders to ensure staff feel confident and capable using digital tools required in their daily work.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Education, Health Information Management, Instructional Design, Information Systems, or a related field.
Licenses and Certification
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience delivering software or systems training in a healthcare or corporate environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and training best practices.
- Experience with EMRs, Workday, or other healthcare/business applications preferred.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both in-person and virtual.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to coach staff with varying levels of technology comfort.
- Proficiency in creating training materials using Microsoft Office and/or content development tools (e.g., Snagit, Articulate, Canva).
- Customer service mindset with a passion for helping others learn and succeed.

Role Specific Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, role-specific training on enterprise software platforms (Workday, EMRs, scheduling systems, etc.).
- Design and facilitate learning sessions for new hires, end users, and departmental refreshers using a variety of methods (in-person, virtual, self-paced).
- Serve as a subject matter liaison between users and IT during software updates or upgrades (occurring every 6 months).
- Provide hands-on support and coaching during and after training to reinforce learning and answer questions.
- Develop clear, user-friendly training materials such as quick guides, how- to videos, and job aids.
- Collect feedback on training effectiveness and work with stakeholders to continuously improve the user learning experience.
- Coordinate and maintain a training calendar and documentation of session attendance and completion.
- Support system adoption by identifying user pain points and developing solutions to address knowledge gaps.
- Promote digital literacy and system confidence through positive, supportive training experiences.
- Ensure training environments are properly configured and aligned with operational workflows for practice.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
$56,472.00 - $87,526.40
