Senior Deal Desk Analyst

Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Deal Desk Analyst to strengthen operational effectiveness across the commercial lifecycle. In this role, you will act as a key point of coordination between sales teams and supporting departments, ensuring data accuracy, streamlined processes, and meaningful insights that contribute to revenue growth.
While this position does not negotiate individual deals, you will focus on improving workflows, enhancing data quality, analysing deal trends, and supporting the organisation with clear reporting and enablement tools. The role reports directly to the Deal Desk Director.
Primary Responsibilities
Operational Support & Insights
- Oversee core deal desk processes, ensuring sales teams maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity information within Salesforce.
- Act as the go-to resource for operational queries related to approvals, workflow steps, and data governance.
- Review agreements, proposals, and commercial documentation to confirm that deal structures are accurately represented in internal systems.
- Work closely with teams across Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to optimise deal flow and ensure adherence to policies.
- Build and refine dashboards in Salesforce and Looker to provide leaders with actionable business insights.
- Analyse deal throughput, identify operational bottlenecks, and turn findings into clear recommendations for improved efficiency and forecasting.
- Assist with the quarterly internal newsletter highlighting updates, trends, and best practices within the deal desk function.
Training & Enablement
- Develop onboarding materials for new sales hires, focusing on quoting best practices, system usage, and deal desk processes.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to sellers on deal structure questions and process-related topics.
- Create and maintain documentation, including playbooks, guides, FAQs, and step-by-step resources to encourage self-service.
- Collaborate with enablement teams to refine training content and ensure all staff are aware of process updates.
What You Bring
Required:
- 3–5 years’ experience in deal desk operations, sales operations, revenue operations, commercial operations, or contract administration.
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, CPQ tools, and data visualisation platforms such as Looker.
- Proven analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret and translate data into meaningful insights.
- Ability to manage several priorities and partners simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- A structured, detail-oriented approach to operational tasks.
Preferred:
- Background supporting SaaS or enterprise-level deal structures.
- Understanding of quote-to-cash processes, contract terms, and revenue-related concepts.
- Experience designing training assets or enablement materials for sales teams.
