Role: Chief Financial Officer

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO)to join the leadership team of a leading healthcare organization. The CFO plays a critical role in driving the financial strategy, operational effectiveness, and fiscal accountability of the facility. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing strategic direction to meet operational and financial goals. The CFO partners closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align financial performance with the organization’s mission and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual financial statements.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly in compliance with company standards.
Direct and oversee Revenue Cycle Operations to ensure timely collections and minimize uncompensated care.
Monitor and improve cash flow, AR days, and bad debt performance.
Oversee accounting, patient accounting, materials management, and other assigned departments.
Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets, providing variance analysis and financial guidance to department heads.
Support and participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and managed care reimbursement policies.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure readiness for audits.
Provide financial training and leadership to department managers and ensure staff accountability.
Collaborate with managed care contracting and other teams to maximize net revenue.
Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and reimbursement changes affecting the organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 3 years of CFO experience in a healthcare setting or completion of a formal CFO training program.
Proven experience in month-end close, expense management, and revenue cycle operations.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide diverse teams.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and financial reporting systems.
Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement, budgeting, and cost control.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA certification strongly preferred.
Experience in for-profit behavioral health or acute care environments.
Familiarity with Acadia Healthcare systems or proprietary healthcare structures.
Knowledge of 21 CFR, healthcare regulatory compliance, and GAAP standards.
