Belmont Christian College is seeking a strategic, experienced, and Christ-centered leader to serve as our Director of Business Operations and Risk (full time role to start in Term 01, 2026). This Executive role provides leadership across property and physical infrastructure, work health and safety, risk and compliance, IT and digital infrastructure, administration, and capital project management—ensuring the College’s mission and strategic direction are supported through strong operational stewardship. The successful applicant will:
- Be a committed Christian, actively involved in a local church, and supportive of the College’s Statement of Faith.
- Hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology, Operations or in a relevant field).
- Bring proven experience in Operations, Work health and safety (WHS), Risk and Compliance, ideally in an educational or complex environment.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of risk and asset management, facilities management, WHS legislation, SIRA processes, and RTW requirements.
- Preferably hold WHS qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in WHS).
- Show strategic leadership, emotional intelligence, effective communication, and a genuine heart to serve, grounded in sound operational understanding.
- Hold a current WWCC and demonstrate a strong commitment to staff and student safety.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Director works closely with the Principal. This position is responsible to lead and strengthen the College’s Business Operations to ensure operational excellence, compliance and safety with risk mitigation, and effective service delivery with a plan for business continuity. Apart from overseeing the operational upkeep of the College, this role also, supports master planning and capital projects using project management skills, ensures compliance with NESA and legislative requirements, and upholds strong stewardship of College resources.
