If so, we are conducting a confidential Chief Financial Officer (CFO) search for a growing medical device manufacturer located in Rapid City, South Dakota. This is a new position that they will be adding to the leadership team due to growth. This can be a hybrid position but a large percentage of the time will be spent at the Rapid City facility. Below is the job description:
Job Overview
The CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. Primary day-to-day responsibilities include planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. Excellent leadership skills are required since all relative financial departments of the organization will be under their command. The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth in line with the company vision.
Responsibilities
- Develop financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing staff.
- Accomplish finance human resource strategies by communicating and enforcing values, policies, procedures and planning and reviewing compensation strategies.
- Develop finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
- Establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity & quality.
- Develop organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.
- Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.
- Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, promoting corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Maximize return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.
- Report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
- Update job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations.
- Actively participates, promotes and advances the company Quality, Quality Management System and Regulatory efforts to achieve high accuracy, regulatory compliance and superior customer service.
