The Court is conducting a recruitment for the classification of Business Operations Analyst I-II. Under general supervision (I) or direction (II), the Business Operations Analyst performs professional, analytical, and project management duties supporting Court operations, business processes, and technology-enabled initiatives. This includes planning and executing operational projects, gathering and analyzing business requirements, leading cross-functional working groups, redesigning and improving workflow processes, supporting change management, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners, and ensuring efficient use of the Court’s systems, tools, and resources.
Incumbents serve as a strategic partner between Court operations, administration, and Information Technology to align business needs with practical solutions, while supporting operational excellence initiatives, performance improvement, and project delivery.
Business Operations Analyst I is the entry/journey-level classification. Incumbents receive closer supervision; perform assignments of moderate complexity; and gain knowledge of Court operations, business processes, and project delivery standards.
Business Operations Analyst II is the advanced journey-level classification. Incumbents independently perform complex business analysis, serve as project lead on operational initiatives, mentor staff, and support operational leaders in evaluating performance data, implementing improvements, and executing strategic priorities.
Positions are flexibly staffed, and advancement is based on demonstrated proficiency and organizational need.
The IDEAL CANDIDATE must have sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position, including:

Education and Experience
Any combination of education and experience that provides the candidate with the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the Business Operations Analyst I and II will be considered.
Business Operations Analyst I:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or closely related field; OR
-
Associate’s degree in one of the fields above and two (2) years of relevant experience in business or systems analysis, IT project support, or application support; OR

Four (4) years of directly related experience in a multi-platform information systems environment.
Business Operations Analyst II:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or closely related field; and two (2) years of professional-level IT or business systems analysis experience equivalent to Business Operations Analyst I; OR

Associate’s degree in one of the fields above and four (4) years of progressively responsible IT/business operations analyst experience; OR
-
Two (2) years as an IT or Business Operations Analyst I with the Court.
Relevant certifications in business analysis, data analytics, project management, or IT systems may substitute for one year of required experience.
Special Requirements
Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license or ability to provide suitable transportation approved by the Court.
Successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprint clearance.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Work at a computer for extended periods of time.
Sit, stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
