The Role
This is an exceptional part-time opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to manage the strategic and financial operations of the business, with an expected commitment of approximately three days per week.
Working closely with the CEO, treasury team and key stakeholders, you will oversee all aspects of financial performance, including cost and income optimisation. The role will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic financial and business management systems to support the company’s continued growth.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Anticipating operational and capital needs, identify appropriate financing and capital raising
- Strategic management and oversight of financial reporting, regulatory obligations and budgetary compliance and governance.
- Preparation of all financial reporting including management accounts, annual consolidated financial statements, the annual report and departmental financial statements
- Assist with undertaking feasibilities on new project acquisitions and investments including the preparation of cash flows, calculation of rates of return and determination of capital requirements as well as the provision of advice on optimum financial and legal structures
- Providing business advisory, performance and reporting requirements.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive working relationships with the Board, Executive, Shareholders, Investors, Financiers, Auditors and other stakeholders
The Requirements
- You must be CA/CPA qualified
- 5 - 10 years proven track record at an executive and leadership level in financial management and control
- Exceptional people leadership skills including driving change, developing culture and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of ASX listing, rules and regulation
- Strong understanding of compliance and governance procedures
- Good knowledge of the Corporations Act, ASIC, AFCA and AUSTRAC and other local regulatory requirements
- Previously in financial services is highly preferrable
