Role Description
This full-time on-site Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role is based in beautiful Columbia, NC. The CFO will oversee the financial operations of the school district, including budgeting, financial planning, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include developing and implementing financial strategies, preparing accurate financial reports, analyzing financial data, and leading the finance team. The CFO will play a key role in providing financial guidance to support the district's vision and goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Financial Planning, Budgeting, and creating effective financial strategies
- Experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
- Strong Finance and Analytical Skills to make data-driven decisions
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Experience in public education or a similar industry is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred
- 5 years of school-based financial or CFO experience
