The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the daily sales operational duties within a busy Sales office environment. Reporting to the Controls & Automation Sales Operations Director, the Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing a smooth, effective sales process to enable the growth of the organisation.
A strong leader with a person-centric approach who will be proactive, visible in the organisation and take ownership of issues and drive for solutions. The individual will have an excellent understanding and in-depth use of Sales tools, systems and processes.
Communicating issues and proposing solutions to ensure business continuity and building an effective network of contacts, both internal and external.
- Deliver strategic objectives for key cross-sell channels.
- On-time implementation of sales and performance objectives.
- Thorough implementation of sales-impacting initiatives.
- Responsible for the efficient allocation of technology, support, and training resources impacting cross-sell sales.
- Accurate and on-time reporting essential for sales effectiveness.
- Adhere to Controls & Automation Group processes, policies and procedures.
- Develop valuable networks and gain credibility through clear communication, delivered value and understanding of sales execution.
- Provide deep insight and execution agility. Deep insight is the ability to see the big picture, develop models, learn from experience, and see the system impact on the business ecosystem and how it relates to marketplace and customers.
- Improve efficiencies and generate revenue growth that is undeniably improved due to sales operations activity.
- Build long-term effective relationships with key stakeholders across the group.
- Become an integral part in the successful growth of the Commercial Team and support the ongoing development and scalability of the group cross-sell program.
- Have previous experience in a sales and/or operational role and have worked alongside sales teams.
Requirements:
- Experience within a Sales Operations position
- Forward-thinking, proactive, and able to work autonomously, with lots of initiative, energy, and personal motivation.
- Application of delivering LEAN principles across a sales environment.
- Sales / Office Manager role within a manufacturing business
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor team performance and productivity.
- Provide accurate forecasting of demand to help business re-act accordingly.
- Creating, communicating, and compensating understandable goals
- Maintaining the ERP, CRM and other sales tools
- Daily liaison with internal departments and external customers as required.
- Take ownership for the sales operation’s functions.
- Help to shape and implement the broader sales strategy.
- Identifying and implementing effective solutions needed to achieve strategic goals.
- Improve efficiencies and generate improvement solutions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement and work to ensure all short-term and long-term sales objectives are delivered effectively.
- Coordinate sales reporting, planning and pipeline forecasting to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Coordinate planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the group to achieve sales and performance for key cross-sell channels.
- Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the cross-sell planning and delivery efforts.
- Assist sales management in understanding successes and challenges on key channels, identifying process bottlenecks and inconsistencies and work with stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management teams to inspect cross-sell sales processes, prioritising opportunities for improvement.
