Our client offers a very generous compensation package and benefits to include:
SALARY - $150K to $200K per year DOE

HOURS - Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm, overtime as needed
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Controller / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their financial operations and ensure the integrity of their financial reporting. This executive role requires a deep understanding of complex accounting principles, and financial management within a dynamic organization. This position offers an opportunity to influence organizational growth through sound financial strategies and effective oversight of all accounting functions.
DUTIES -
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making for two entities.
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, depreciation, job cost accounting and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and other relevant standards.
- Manage and oversee HR, as well as general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes using software such as Sage.
- Conduct detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and maintain effective financial policies and procedures.
- Supervise finance team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial processes.
- Provide strategic guidance on financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and technical accounting issues to executive leadership.
- Manage and oversee accounts payable/receivable functions ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Lead initiatives for process improvements in financial management systems and reporting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred, however, years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered. This role is integral to maintaining the organization’s fiscal health while supporting its mission through strategic financial leadership. Proven experience in senior-level finance roles such as Controller or CFO within Construction or Manufacturing environments preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP compliance standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Strong background in Construction preferred, OR will also consider Manufacturing, or Development/Real Estate accounting principles along with Corporate Accounting practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software. Sage experience a plus, or will consider experience with other Financial Management software systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in cash management, account reconciliation (general ledger), account analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent understanding of technical accounting issues such as payroll processing and double entry bookkeeping.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data into clear reports for executive leadership; strong financial report writing skills required.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
