Job Summary
We are a growing, entrepreneurial organization based in the Tri-State area that builds, operates, and scales multiple business units across innovative products and services. We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer (CFO/COO) to provide strategic leadership across both financial management and operational execution.
This is a high-impact executive role for a hands-on leader who can drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and scalable growth across a multi-entity organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership (CFO)
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for all financial matters
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and monitor performance against targets
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Conduct regular financial reviews to identify risks, trends, and cost-saving opportunities
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations
- Provide oversight of tax accounting, planning, and compliance
- Oversee accounting operations, payroll processes, and financial reporting
- Manage relationships with accounting firms, auditors, lenders, and banking partners
Operational Leadership (COO)
- Provide strategic oversight of day-to-day operations across multiple business units
- Partner with executive leadership to align operational execution with financial and strategic goals
- Improve operational efficiency, systems, and processes to support scalable growth
- Establish performance metrics and operational reporting aligned with financial outcomes
- Support leadership teams in execution, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure cross-functional alignment between finance, operations, and management teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior executive role such as CFO, COO, CFO/COO, VP of Finance & Operations, or similar
- Strong background in corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis, and strategic planning
- Demonstrated experience overseeing operational functions in a multi-entity or growth-oriented organization
- Solid understanding of financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and operational KPIs
- Experience overseeing accounting functions and payroll operations
- Familiarity with International Accounting Standards (IAS) is preferred
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience leading, mentoring, and influencing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
