Position Purpose:
The Chief Financial Officer leads and manages the internal accounting, budgeting and finance functions for Engaging Solutions and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role is responsible for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting and helps drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs. This role also oversees several other administrative areas such as Compliance and Quality Improvement and Information Technology. This role is responsible for recommending, developing, implementing, and coordinating policies and programs with other operational leaders to drive fiscal operational excellence. To succeed in this role, you must be an experienced leader with the ability to develop and provide insight to ensure the accounting operations are effective, efficient, and congruent with all industry acceptable accounting practices.

Financial Management

Develops financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services in order to help the Accounting Department, preparing growth plans, and directing staff.

Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change.

Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.

Development of the pricing models and assist in the contract negotiations

Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.

Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.

Reports financial status by developing forecasts, annual budget, financial statements, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements. Effectively communicate relevant project information and performance enterprise wide including partners and advisors.

Identifying investment opportunities and cultivate and efficiently manage the banking relationships

Monitoring cash flow, meeting with the CEO to discuss the best practices for company finances and coming up with strategic plans to improve their company’s overall financial health.

Analyzing data and creating financial models based on the analysis

Accomplishes financial goals and organization mission by completing related results and aggregating funding as needed.

Directly, or through managers, appoint, supervise, provide ongoing training and development training to the accounting and finance team

Develop, recommend, and implement policies and programs in collaboration with the other operational leaders to drive fiscal and operational efficiencies

Manage team performance and accountability

Collaboration with departments to ensure timely and accurate billing of clients, payment of bills, and pricing strategies.

Oversee the annual tax and external audit functions
Administrative Management

Oversee the Compliance and Quality Improvement area for the organization to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, regulatory and contractual requirements and promote sustainable process improvements.

Oversee Information Technology Operations area and projects to ensure the robust infrastructure, implementation of new technology & tools, ensuring the security and privacy of the organization’s data.
- Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure:
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
-
Master’s degree preferred

Certified Public Accountant certification required
-
Minimum 10 years’ experience in accounting and financial management practices
-
Experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) required

Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets
-
Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills
