About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Salesforce CPQ Developer with deep Salesforce Billing expertise and proven experience working in enterprise SaaS environments. This role focuses on owning, stabilizing, and evolving existing CPQ and Billing implementations, improving performance, reliability, and maintainability across complex quote-to-cash workflows.
The ideal candidate is comfortable stepping into a mature but evolving Salesforce org, quickly understanding prior design decisions, and confidently debugging, refactoring, and modernizing CPQ and Billing solutions while partnering closely with Sales, Finance, and Revenue Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise CPQ Ownership
- Own and enhance an existing Salesforce CPQ implementation supporting enterprise SaaS sales models
- Analyze and debug complex pricing, product, and configuration issues across:
- Multi-product, multi-bundle, and multi-currency environments
- Subscription, usage-based, and hybrid pricing models
- Improve quote performance, scalability, and user experience in high-volume sales scenarios
Salesforce Billing & Revenue Flows
- Maintain and evolve Salesforce Billing functionality including:
- Invoicing, billing schedules, and usage processing
- Amendments, renewals, co-terming, and mid-contract changes
- Ensure accurate and auditable CPQ-to-Billing handoffs
- Partner with Finance and Revenue teams to support close and billing cycles
Debugging, Refactoring & Optimization
- Diagnose root causes of CPQ and Billing defects across declarative and programmatic solutions
- Refactor legacy implementations to improve:
- Performance and quote calculation times
- Data model consistency and scalability
- Maintainability and long-term extensibility
- Reduce technical debt by simplifying pricing logic, automation, and custom code
- Modernize solutions using best-practice patterns (Flows, LWCs, Apex frameworks)
Technical Development
- Design and develop custom solutions using:
- Apex, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- CPQ plugins and advanced automation
- Build and support integrations with ERP, tax, provisioning, and billing systems
- Ensure solutions comply with Salesforce governor limits, security, and performance standards
Architecture & Collaboration
- Act as a technical leader for CPQ and Billing architecture in an enterprise org
- Partner with Solution Architects and Business Systems leaders on roadmap initiatives
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical designs
- Review code and configuration changes; mentor developers and admins
Production Support & Delivery
- Serve as an escalation point for complex CPQ and Billing production issues
- Support releases, deployments, and regression testing
- Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Salesforce platform experience
- 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce CPQ development
- Strong, hands-on experience with Salesforce Billing
- Proven experience supporting enterprise SaaS quote-to-cash implementations
- Demonstrated success debugging and refactoring complex, existing Salesforce solutions
- Advanced Apex development experience
- Strong experience with Lightning Web Components
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data model, automation, and governor limits
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP and finance systems
