Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Oracle CPQ Developer to design, build, and support Oracle CPQ Cloud (BigMachines) solutions for a leading U.S. industrial manufacturing company. This role involves end-to-end CPQ ownership, advanced configuration, Salesforce integrations, and production support, working closely with business and global IT teams to deliver scalable and high-quality CPQ solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support enterprise-level solutions on Oracle CPQ Cloud (BigMachines)
Lead CPQ system architecture and apply best practices in design, performance, and maintainability
Configure and customize CPQ modules including Configuration, Commerce, Quote Management, and Data Tables
Design and maintain Document Engine and Document Designer to generate accurate, professional quotes
Build and manage workflows, profiles, approval processes, steps, and transition rules
Develop and optimize recommendation, hiding, and constraint rules for accurate product configurations
Create and maintain complex pricing and configuration logic using BML and BMQL
Design and implement integrations between Oracle CPQ, Salesforce CRM, and other enterprise systems using REST and SOAP APIs
Develop and maintain XSL and XML transformations to ensure clean and reliable data exchange
Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and support CI/CD and quality assurance processes
Create and maintain technical documentation for design, deployment, and production support
Collaborate with business, IT, and QA teams across onshore, onsite, and offshore locations
Provide regular project status updates, including risks and mitigation plans
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth and delivery excellence
Required Qualifications
10+ years of overall IT experience, including 7+ years of hands-on Oracle CPQ Cloud (BigMachines) work
Strong expertise in Configuration, Commerce, Document Engine, and CPQ Integrations
Advanced knowledge of BML and BMQL
Proven experience integrating Oracle CPQ with Salesforce
Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, XSL, XML, and web services
Solid understanding of CPQ architecture, workflows, approvals, and pricing logic
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable CPQ solutions
Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
Soft Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Clear and effective documentation and presentation abilities
Experience mentoring and guiding technical team members
Ability to plan, coordinate, and report project status effectively
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
