Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Buena Vista, CO, responsible for leading all financial strategy and operations for Fading West. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support the company’s mission and growth. The CFO manages financial reporting, prepares and reviews financial statements, and ensures compliance with regulatory and accounting standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, capital allocation, and investment strategies, working closely with executive leadership to guide business decisions. The CFO leads and develops the finance team, establishes internal controls, partners with lenders and investors, and provides clear financial analysis and recommendations to support integrated design, development, manufacturing, and construction activities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, including corporate finance principles and strategic financial management skills.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning, such as budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support organizational growth.
- Experience preparing and interpreting Financial Statements, with advanced knowledge of accounting standards and compliance.
- Expertise in Financial Reporting, including management reports, board packages, and stakeholder communications.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for evaluating financial performance, assessing risk, and supporting data-driven decisions.
- Previous senior-level finance leadership experience (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent) in construction, manufacturing, real estate development, or related industries preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, implement internal controls, and optimize financial processes in a LEAN or continuous improvement environment.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with executives, operational leaders, and external stakeholders.
