We are seeking a strategic, dual-minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial organization into the next phase of transformational growth. This role requires a leader who can operate effectively on two tracks: driving high-level FP&A strategy to guide our future expansion, while simultaneously executing day-to-day Controller responsibilities to ensure impeccable financial hygiene. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to the Owners, capable of interpreting financial data to forecast opportunities, while also managing a world-class accounting function that preserves company assets and ensures compliance

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Strategy
- Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Lead the development of financial strategies, annual budgeting, and monthly forecasting to align with annual and long-term business plans.
- Scenario Modeling & Decision Support: Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support key initiatives, such as new product launches, international expansion, and digital commerce growth.
- KPIs & Performance Metrics: Partner with executive leadership to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards that inform growth decisions and track progress against strategic goals.
- Actionable Insights: Quickly analyze results to identify issues and opportunities, recommending specific action plans to the executive team to optimize profitability.
- Capital & Growth Strategy: Lead conversations with capital partners and investors, evaluating strategic decisions related to capital investments, geographic expansion, or M&A activity.
Controller Duties, Accounting & Governance
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring the timely and accurate consolidation of management and statutory results in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Day-to-Day Accounting Operations: Manage the accounting team and daily financial operations, including the month-end close process, cost accounting, and pricing strategies.
- Internal Controls & Audit: Establish and monitor control systems designed to preserve company assets; coordinate annual financial audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Treasury & Tax Management: Optimize cash flow and working capital; oversee tax planning to minimize liabilities through effective legal entity structuring and assure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Risk Management: Oversee business insurance policies to ensure appropriate coverage and risk mitigation, and review contracts and vendor agreements to mitigate legal risks.
Operational Finance & Systems
- Systems Integrity: Steward the use of finance and accounting technology across functions, ensuring efficient processes, accurate data flows, and system integrity to deliver real-time decision-making capabilities
- Supply Chain Finance: Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to optimize inventory management, gross margin performance, and cost-to-serve models regarding third-party manufacturing.
- Banking Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for banking partners, managing credit facilities, loan agreements, and covenant reporting.
Organizational Leadership
- Human-Centered Leadership: Cultivate a culture of collaboration, empathy, and employee development, ensuring the finance team is aligned with company goals and operating efficiently.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive business strategy alignment across all organizational levels by translating complex financial data into actionable insights for sales, marketing, and operations
Required Competencies & Skills
Business & Industry Expertise
- Controller & FP&A Balance: Proven ability to act as both a strategic forward-thinker (FP&A) and a tactical guardian of the books (Controller).
- Scaling Experience: Track record of scaling consumer brands.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep proficiency with NetSuite is required, along with experience in Business Intelligence tools and data analytics platforms.
- Industry Background: Experience in fashion, retail, lifestyle brands, or consumer goods industries with a mix of wholesale and e-commerce channels.
Preferred Experience
- 10+ years of executive leadership experience with at least 5 years as a CFO or senior finance leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience in Founder-led or Private Equity-backed environments.
- International business and market expansion experience
