Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a member of the Executive Management team and is responsible for shaping and executing U.S. Eagle’s overall financial strategy. The CFO oversees all aspects of finance, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital management, and regulatory compliance. Partnering with the CEO and the Executive Management team, the CFO helps shape credit union strategy, influence key decisions, drive profitability, stimulate growth and ensure long-term financial stability.

Financial Acumen and Data-Driven Insights
The CFO is a master of financial data and analytics. This requires proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, economics, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and a strong understanding of asset/liability management. The CFO uses this expertise to effectively translate complex data into actionable business decisions, enabling U.S. Eagle to maintain financial stability and support long-term growth.
Strategic Execution and Alignment
The CFO is adept at aligning the U.S. Eagle’s business model with both short- and long-term goals, ensuring operational initiatives and investment strategies directly support strategic objectives. Capital planning, risk management oversight, and guiding the organization toward sustainable profitability are all key elements of the role.
Multidimensional Thinking and Problem Solving
The CFO exhibits creative, critical, and strategic thinking to navigate complex challenges and analyze multiple perspectives simultaneously. Questioning assumptions, identifying root causes of financial or operational issues, and formulating robust solutions that integrate both immediate and long-term considerations are all critical qualities for the CFO to possess.
Decision-Making and Leadership
The ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty while guiding and motivating the organization is fundamental. Acting decisively even with incomplete information, communicating financial insights clearly to stakeholders, and fostering collaboration across departments to link business strategy with execution are all realities that the CFO will navigate.
Experience: Eight or more years of senior leadership experience in finance and accounting, preferably at an Executive level within a financial institution.
Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. A master's degree (MBA) is preferred and advanced certifications such as CMA or CPA are highly desired.
Interpersonal Skills: Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution techniques, giving presentations to large audiences of diverse backgrounds, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions. Role also requires the ability to motivate and influence others as a material part of the role, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the role and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.
Other Skills: Strong financial acumen with advanced knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with financial software and reporting systems.
Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision, color vision, and ability to focus.
