Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their client's amazing team in California. This full-time position is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to lead financial strategy and operations in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with significant experience in federal contracting and tribal government or enterprise financial management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal contracting regulations, tribal governance requirements, and applicable laws.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage audits, internal controls, and risk management processes.
- Provide financial analysis and guidance to executive leadership and the board.
- Lead and mentor finance team members to maintain high standards of performance.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate cost allocation and contract compliance.
- Drive process improvements for efficiency and transparency in financial operations.
Qualifications
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance role.
- Proven experience with federal contracting, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
- Strong knowledge of tribal government or tribal enterprise financial structures.
- Expertise in GAAP, audit processes, and financial reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with grant management and federal contracting streams.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced financial software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Required Work Hours
Monday - Friday, first shift
