Job Description
The primary focus of this position will be to help structure profitable and compliant transactions that address the needs of a diverse set of internal corporate customers, maximize Adobe's revenue, and increase the effectiveness and productivity of the North America Digital Marketing Sales force.
Role
This role will act in a fiduciary capacity in managing first line approvals for the deal approval process, including deal structuring and accelerating deal closures. This will be accomplished by:
- Meeting with sales teams to identify customers' critical business issues and assist in structuring transactions that meet both Adobe's requirements and the customer's needs
- Managing the day-to-day deal approval process
- Communicating via documented business cases with cross-functional stakeholders to articulate deal value in a consistent manner
- Drafting and certifying customer contracts
- Performing against specified metrics and service levels
- Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, revenue recognition requirements, and operational guidelines
- Interacting with internal stakeholders including Legal, Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Revenue Assurance, Business Units, Order Management, Credit, and other cross-functional teams
- Regularly communicating with sales teams to ensure consistent application of process and policy
- Preparing in-quarter deal status updates and communications for management
- Evaluating current processes and recommending areas of improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in FP&A, Sales Finance, Sales Operations, or Deal Desk
- Experience drafting and analyzing binding sales agreements
- Ability to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders
- Experience structuring multi-element contracts including subscriptions, licenses, services, and support
- Knowledge of software revenue recognition accounting, SOP 97-2, and related principles
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
