CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (On-site) – Temple, TX
Texell Credit Union is a $770 million credit union headquartered in Temple, Texas, is seeking an experienced, energetic and forward-thinking executive to join our team as Chief Financial Officer. In this role you will lead strategic initiatives and be responsible for all fiscal functions. The CFO is a key strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Team, responsible for the financial health, performance, and long-term sustainability of the credit union. This role requires a dynamic leader who thrives in a goal-oriented environment, excels under pressure, and demonstrates outstanding judgment, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
The CFO will lead an established and experienced team, manage projects to timely and successful completion, and encourage collaborative team relationships with other departments and key vendor partners.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the accounting and finance teams. Oversee accounting, finance, ALM, investments, payments, and financial reporting functions.

Lead key strategic initiatives and projects to successful and timely completion, including the annual budget.

Provide clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making across the organization.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage liquidity, capital planning, interest rate risk, and investment portfolio performance.

Partner closely with leaders across lending, operations, technology, and member services to support numerous strategic initiatives.

Serve on ALCO as a thought leader on economic trends, product pricing, and expense mitigation.

Partner with and hold 3rd party vendors accountable to achieve contracted deliverables.

Expertly present on financially relevant issues and topics to the Board.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced financial credentials preferred.

7-15 years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience, preferably within a credit union or other regulated financial institution.

Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

Strong understanding of ALM, liquidity management, and regulatory requirements.

Proven ability to thoughtfully plan and closely manage high workload volumes and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity
