Here’s what we’re looking for:
Strategic Financial Visionary – A proven leader with deep expertise in financial planning, analysis, and modeling to guide long-term growth, capital allocation, and potential M&A opportunities.
Hands-On Accounting Expert – Extensive background as a Corporate Controller or equivalent, with expert command of core accounting operations, GAAP compliance, month-end closes, and financial integrity.
Inspirational People Leader – Passionate about developing high-performing teams, mentoring talent, and fostering personal and professional growth across finance, IT, administration, and related functions.
Broad Operational Leader – Experience overseeing multiple areas including IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, legal/compliance/risk management, facilities, and administrative operations to ensure efficiency and scalability.
Growth-Minded Entrepreneur – Energetic and committed to organizational and personal excellence, recognizing that building a thriving business is a collective effort—ready to lock arms with the CEO to move mountains!
Analytical & Detail-Driven – Exceptional ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, manage cash flow/working capital, optimize processes, and provide clear reporting to executive leadership.
Tech-Savvy Process Improver – Proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel/financial modeling, and leveraging technology for efficiency, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
Compliance & Risk Manager – Skilled in audit coordination, internal controls, regulatory adherence, contract oversight, and managing external legal/vendor relationships.
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5+ years explicitly in a Controller, VP of Accounting, or similar senior role.
- 10-15+ years in senior leadership spanning finance, administration, IT, operations, and related functions.
- Proven track record in a mid-sized or growing company, ideally in construction, services, or related industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or Master’s in Accounting preferred).
- Passion for excellence, continuous improvement, and contributing to a people-first culture where the outdoors and creativity thrive.
