Role Summary
We are seeking a high-caliber Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic leader and thought leader for the Hidesign Group. In this executive role, you will be responsible for the financial health of a global brand present in over 24 countries, overseeing operations that span specialized leather manufacturing, high-end retail, e-commerce, and luxury hospitality. Beyond traditional fiscal oversight, you will act as a "Strategic Business Partner" to the President, eventually transitioning into heading specific profit centers within the group. The ideal candidate combines rigorous financial control with a growth-oriented mindset, capable of driving profitability across diverse business Strategic Policy & Decision Leadership: Assist the President and senior leadership with high-level decisions regarding organizational policy, international expansion, and long-term business strategy.
- Fiscal Governance & Oversight: Direct all fiscal activities, including the preparation of budgets, financial reporting, and the management of internal and external auditing processes.
- Profitability & P&L Analysis: Conduct deep-dive P&L analysis across retail, manufacturing, and hospitality divisions to identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive bottom-line improvement.
- Compliance & Legal Risk Management: Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed accurately and on time, maintaining 100% compliance with global and domestic laws and regulations.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with heads of E-commerce, Marketing, Production, and International Business to develop and execute a cohesive strategic plan that supports brand growth.
- Banking & Stakeholder Relations: Manage and strengthen relationships with banking partners and lead financial negotiations with business partners, mall developers, and international distributors.
- Operational Financial Control: Supervise the financial reporting, accounts, and budgeting teams, ensuring meticulous follow-up on budget achievements and variance analysis.
- Partner Reconciliations: Oversee complex financial reconciliations with retail partners, including malls, department stores, and e-commerce platforms, to ensure revenue integrity.
- Risk & Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify financial risks (currency fluctuations, supply chain costs) and capitalize on opportunities for capital investment and expansion.
Technical Requirements
- Financial Mastery: 12 - 16 years of progressive experience in finance leadership, with a significant portion in Retail or Manufacturing sectors.
- P&L Management: Proven track record of managing multi-crore P&L accounts and driving margin improvements.
- Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of GST, Corporate Law, and international taxation for export-oriented businesses.
- Retail Finance: Deep understanding of retail-specific financial metrics (SSG, GMROI, Inventory Turn) and reconciliation processes.
Preferred Skills
- Hospitality Finance: Experience in managing financial operations for premium hotels or luxury hospitality brands.
- ERP Proficiency: Advanced experience with enterprise resource planning systems (SAP/Oracle) for manufacturing and retail integration.
- M&A/Expansion: Exposure to international business expansion and the financial complexities of operating in 20+ countries.
